Cannot help but notice the current trend of mostly middle-aged male celebrities suddenly getting “ripped” and “jacked” despite being a flabby mess in their prime.
Maybe I am being harsh and they have just dialled in their training and nutrition.
Or maybe they’ve done what a lot of vain and lazy middle-aged blokes are doing these days by jumping on TRT because popping needles into your backside is easier than learning to cope with the consequences of bad decisions you made in your youth.
Obviously it’s none of my business if someone wants to lie to a doctor about the nature and extent of their “low T” problems (and the how much effort they’ve put into trying to fix them) to get medication.
But the pernicious influence these drug addict celebrities (not to mention the uncountable legions of fitness influencers, personal trainers, and suchlike who lie about their drug abuse) has on earnest and right thinking men and women who want to get strong and in shape WITHOUT pumping their body full of chemicals is absolutely my business.
Why?
A good chunk of these decent folk are utterly demoralised. For example, a short while back, I was speaking to one of them who told me how he’d busted a gut week in, week out for years only to watch a fat, lazy, and greedy acquaintance jump on a cocktail of Ozempic and TRT and get a better body than him within a few short months.
Fortunately, the story had a happy ending if you enjoy a bit of schadenfreude because Mr fat, lazy, and greedy was too cheap to keep paying for his drugs, so he went back to resembling a supersize pot of mouldy cottage cheese in double-quick time once his supply dried up.
And what is my point?
There isn’t one.
Other than to say I don’t want anything to do with vain, lazy, and stupid druggies, the weak-willed who want to emulate their atrocious example, and the feeble-minded who support or excuse their degeneracy.
Instead, I only cater to hard workers who want to train sustainably while accepting their limitations.
