Fitness insights from the feminists of Reddit

Guilty pleasure of mine is browsing Reddit.

Especially batshyte insane subreddits like TwoXChromosones. Which, for the uninitiated, is a place where a gaggle of feminists revel in their powerful victimhood.

One prevailing view there is that women don’t find men with muscles attractive, instead preferring them softer and more “cuddly” (read: fat).

Of course, everyone is entitled to find whatever they like attractive.

However.

I cannot help but notice the only women espousing this view are themselves more than a little chubby (and generally sporting one or a combination of garish tattoos, short hair, and a snout ring).

I suspect this is for two reasons:

Firstly, being with a man who does the needful to stay strong and in shape highlights how lazy and entitled they are.

And secondly, because a fat, weak man is much easier to bully into submission and subsequently abuse mentally, financially, and physically.

Jess’ (who is thin, attractive, very strong, and far more qualified to talk about this than me), take is much the same, albeit she added that their “preference” is mostly a result of knowing that no man of worth will be interested in them.

More:

Jess also tells me that the more she trains and the better shape she gets in, the more she appreciates the muscle and strength I’ve spent the last decade and a half cultivating.

Whatever the case.

There isn’t an intellectually honest person walking the earth today who wouldn’t want their spouse, partner, girlfriend, boyfriend, or whatever to be fit and strong.

Actually, I’d go so far as to say those claiming otherwise don’t love whoever is unfortunate enough to be trapped in a relationship with them.

How can they?

After all, it’s hardly “loving” to undermine (either by being actively discouraging or through sheer indifference) their efforts to get strong and in shape, considering the terrible consequences to both mental and physical health that most likely await those who choose not to train.

Much better in my humble (and objectively correct) opinion to get your house in order sufficiently well enough to lead by example.

I know this works because I’ve lost count of the number of clients and readers of my books and newsletters who have told me their beloved has seen them training and, eventually, started training of their own volition. Even some spouses and partners who were vociferously “anti-exercise” before they were shown what a sensible, safe, and sustainable regime looks like.

All right, enough of this.
