Was the title of the first free PDF I ever downloaded from the internet (via a website banner ad no less).
It was a good PDF, containing a bunch of useful information on the bench press plus a programme which claimed to add something like 20lbs (roughly 9kg) to your bench in 8 weeks or thereabouts (my memory is hazy on the specifics).
Did I get the promised results?
Nah.
But my lack of success was very much a “me” problem.
For starters, I didn’t actually follow the programme as it was written down in the guide (preferring to put my own spin on it despite having only been training for a few months at that point).
Yet even if I had followed it perfectly I still probably wouldn’t have added 20lbs to my bench by the time I was done because I lacked the foundation of strength, muscle, and competence needed to benefit from what was fundamentally a bench press specialisation routine.
That takes a long time to develop. Usually many months but more likely years of plugging away at the basics week in, week out with little to no variation.
Although you can certainly shorten the time it takes to build a mighty bench press with the right information, such as what you will find inside February’s issue of “The Phil Tyreman Letter”.
In addition to the Real Paper newsletter, you’ll get:
* Virtually unlimited access to me via email, text, and voice note for assistance with anything and everything I am qualified to assist you with,
* A copy of a book that covers pretty much everything involved with getting strong and in shape (only available to subscribers),
* Various bonuses that I give away for free to subscribers from time to time (those who are subscribed in February will get a short video titled “The Art of Making Good Decisions” from my now discontinued private fat loss programme).
