A change in direction

A short while ago, I completed a multi-year project I have codenamed:

“Operation: Avoid Early Grave”

Very long story short, I needed to drag my cardiovascular fitness out of the lavatory having neglected it for the balance of my life, lest the Good Lord steal me away from my children potentially decades earlier than he otherwise would. (Highly likely as heart disease runs rampant in males on both sides of my family.)

So that is what I did.

How?

A lot of running (nothing spectacular, mostly distances of five kilometres or less) and a lot less lifting (twice weekly full body sessions whose makeup was inspired by the likes of Steve Reeves).

As for what comes next, I have decided to take my newly won heart of iron and lungs of steel and use them to test drive my new “ultra dense” muscle building system that I am including in a forthcoming course.

Partly because I will never, ever prescribe something in a course, book, or newsletter that I have not personally used myself. But mainly because this is a style of training that proved shockingly effective in the past, and I know it will be even moreso now that I am no longer limited by a frankly decrepit cardiorespiratory system.

And my point?

To illustrate how most fitness goals worth achieving are not weeks or even months in the making. Rather, they are the product of literally years of patient, consistent, repetitive effort.

That is, if you want to sustain them for more than five minutes – which, as a thinking person, I presume you do.

Speaking of thinking people who are in it for the long haul, that is an accurate description of every person who subscribes to “The Phil Tyreman Letter”, because it, along with my bountiful personal support, gives you all the required ingredients to get strong and in shape the slow way.

Specifically:

* A copy of a book containing a comprehensive strategy for getting strong and in shape, plus all the tactics needed to put it into action (the book is only available to my newsletter subscribers),

* Accountability in the form of my (in)famous “Monday Message”,

* Access to my large and shapely brain for assistance with anything I am qualified to offer assistance with (form critiques, programme tweaks/overhauls, and so on),

* Various other things.

The deadline to subscribe in time to get April’s monster-sized issue is tonight (31/03) at 23:59 so make haste to the below page if you are interested:
