Came across a news article recently featuring some porky people squealing about a “fat tax”.
What consequences are they facing for their choices this time?
Paying extra for a wider burial plot, because their corpses are simply too large to fit inside a regular grave.
Truly, it speaks to your profound degree of entitlement when it is strong enough to pierce the veil and persist beyond death.
Not that these types have the capacity to take this as the wake up call it so clearly is, reflect on their actions, and move Heaven and Earth to regain human form so as not to burden their loved ones with a monstrous funeral bill (I also hear crematoria charge extra to burn obeasts; apparently it takes a lot longer because they have to do it slowly, lest the oven be destroyed by the extreme heat generated through burning all that buttery flesh).
Much easier to say it’s “unfair” and cry discrimination in an attempt to browbeat fair minded and well meaning folk into submission while eating their way to disability (which someone else has to pay for) and an early grave (which, if they get their way, someone else will have to pay for by way of subsidising their monster plots).
Gross.
Whatever.
Although I will close by saying that if you are brave enough to admit you have a “weight problem” and are bold enough to actually do something about it, I recommend you help yourself to a free copy of either “The Weight Loss Manifesto” or “The Greek Physique”.
The catch?
You gotta subscribe to “The Phil Tyreman Letter” before 23:59 on the 31st.
So not technically “free”. But still only £20, plus you’ll get my monthly teachings thundering through your letterbox in a brown cardboard package.
I’ve been told the physical reminder provided by the newsletter helps a lot keeping subscribers on the straight and narrow, even if they don’t yet need to use any of the month’s lessons (the smart ones store them somewhere safe for when they inevitably do need them to overcome some challenge or other in the future).
If you want to subscribe, do the following:
1) Visit the below linked page and read it carefully,
2) Read the Terms and Conditions page that follows carefully as well,
3) Subscribe,
4) Wait patiently for your copy of Lift (should be with you within a week, Royal Mail willing) and your first newsletter with your bonus book (will be the September 2025 issue now).
