Did you know that the back and legs are, by far, the two most neglected muscle groups?
Of course you did because you have eyes.
You may also have small legs and a narrow back, in which case, what I am about to share with you may be of interest.
No, this is not a “how to” email.
It is, however, a shot across the bow for men (and, potentially, women) who don’t train their back and legs with discipline and intent for reasons other than poor health. (If you can’t train one or both because you’re too sick and/or injured, you need to get yourself under the care of an appropriately qualified medical professional, if you aren’t already).
What’s so bad about letting your legs languish and back blunt?
Plenty.
For example:
* A back that might as well be made of cheap ceramic, given how fragile it will be,
* Rounded shoulders that cause pain and ruin your aesthetics,
* A less muscular physique in general – as you are deprived of the exercises that challenge (almost) your entire body at once,
* Weak grip (from not doing challenging rows, deadlifts, and so on),
* The “chicken leg” look that everyone with a functioning brain agrees looks utterly ridiculous,
There are more disadvantages, but those are the first five that came to mind.
If you recognise any of the above and you want to do something about it, or if you are already training your back and legs consistently but would like to do so more efficiently and effectively, you may benefit from:
