My pretty wife occasionally says something intelligent.
About six months ago, she opined that there are two things worthy of respect:
1. Beauty. And,
2. Strength.
I asked her why, and she didn’t know – it was just a gut feeling she managed to put into words.
However, I *do* know what she was getting at.
Let me mansplain:
Strength and beauty are polar opposites, yet they have a symbiotic relationship.
Beautiful things need strong men to protect them, and strong men want to protect beautiful things.
Hence, mutual respect.
And in my humble (albeit correct) opinion, the fact most people in Western society have forgotten this simple truth is the root cause of many problems:
> Divorce
> Mental illness
> Social division
> Fatherlessness
And so on.
What’s all this got to do with training?
Much.
As a man, it’s your duty to be strong not only for yourself but for the sake of your family.
Because when you are strong, you can expect your woman to respond in kind by making a concerted effort to become more beautiful.
The net result is a happy, harmonious home that benefits everyone under your roof. (I’ve experienced this personally and seen it in others more times than I care to mention).
Something to think about, what with it being V-Day and all.
Something else to think about is investing in a copy of my latest book, Shift – if you are interested in getting strong and in shape despite working very long hours.
Shift is written with shift workers in mind (hence the title), but men who are busy and stressed for other reasons (e.g. they have young children or run a business) will also benefit enormously from the material.
I’m just days away from sending it to the printers, so if you want to pre-order a copy, now is the time. (I don’t know when I’ll do another print run – it could be over a year away as I’ve a lot of other books in the pipeline).
Here’s all the info you need to decide if it’s right for you:
