You know, over the years I’ve come to realise most men aren’t remotely interested in getting in shape.
Sure, they whinge and moan about how their clothes don’t fit like they used to… react with a mixture of shock and disgust when they see themselves in a shirtless holiday snap…
… but do they ever do anything about it?
Nah.
And no, going to the gym three, four, five, or even six times per week to lift weights doesn’t count as “doing something about it”.
Indeed, it’s a classic example of confusing activity with achievement.
Listen: Just lifting weights and kinda-sorta keeping an eye on your diet isn’t going to get you where you want to go.
Don’t believe me?
Go to any gym and take a look around.
Notice how almost everyone you see is fat.
Take a closer look and you’ll see many of them sat on their backsides mindlessly scrolling through social media for five or more minutes between sets before leaving the gym having barely even broken a sweat.
Truth is, losing fat and keeping it off is very simple. However, it involves a level of discomfort most are unwilling to endure.
Because, deep down, they don’t want to change… unless it’s easy.
Whatever.

P.S. I know the convention in my line of work is to tell you how easy it is to get shredded.
The reason it’s this way is it’s a darn sight easier to sell people quick and easy fixes than it is to tell them the truth and manage their expectations.
Look, if we work together, I’m going to put you through the wringer. Not via back-breaking workouts or a pants-on-head stupid diet, but by forcing you to master the basics.
My process sure ain’t glamourous, but it is effective and, most importantly, sustainable.
