Your best days are behind you (and that’s OK)

Believe it or not, I can remember the exact workout where I hit my peak.

The year was 2017. I was 26 years old, single, and working a cushy corporate non-job earning functionally infinite money. (The cost of living was very low where I was at the time).

Hence, I was able to make training my number one priority, so I did.

After about six months I had “The Ultimate Workout”.

It wasn’t planned. I just went to the gym on a Tuesday afternoon as I normally would and started with squats.

Big PR – 180kg for ten (all the way down with no belt, wraps, or sleeves).

Next, bench press.

I asked an attractive girl to spot me for my work set, thinking I might have some trouble given the monstrous set of squats I’d done not ten minutes prior.

Slapped 90kg on the bar expecting to get 12 reps or so.

Then did an “easy” set of 24.

That’s right – twenty four reps. (All done to the chest with a half-second pause).

When I finished, the first thing I did was tell the girl I didn’t ask for the spot to impress her and get her number or anything weird like that.

The look on her face said she did not believe me.

Whatever.

What’s my point?

I am now 33 years old, married with two toddlers, and working circa 60 hours per week.

Bluntly, my best days are behind me – at least insofar as lifting weights is concerned.

But that’s OK. Because now, I train for a very different reason.

Namely, to be as healthy as possible for the sake of my kids. (As strong and lean as I was back then, I struggled to run a mile – like many lifters).

The good news is, basically anyone can do the type of training that’ll get you into incredible shape.

Kids… work… both – doesn’t matter. It’s almost like we’re supposed to change our focus from *looking* healthy to *being* healthy as we get a little older.

To help you with this, I wrote a book called The Conditioning Codex.

It’s actually the second edition of an earlier work I briefly sold last year. (The first edition is no longer available anywhere for any price).

The new second edition is currently in pre-order.

I have decided to offer a hefty 50% discount for those who pre-order before midnight on Friday 23/02.

It’s still very expensive, even with the discount. So only pre-order if you intend to put the material into action, otherwise you’re just wasting your money.
