Why you’re probably lifting too often

Hark unto me as I state the obvious:

To get and, more importantly, maintain a great physique for more than five minutes, you must balance the following:

1) Walking;

2) Lifting; And,

3) Conditioning.

(For the uninitiated, conditioning is any form of “hard” cardio – running, cycling, sprinting, sled pulling – anything that gives your heart and lungs a true challenge).

However.

Most lean too heavily into one at the expense (or total omission) of the others.

It’s for this reason the weightroom in your local gym is full of blokes who haven’t seen their abs since secondary school – despite hitting the iron three, four, five, sometimes six days per week.

They’d be much better off if they lifted less to make time for walking and conditioning.

How much less would depend on the individual. But I know for a fact it’s possible to get into such good shape you’ll have people thinking you’re on gear by lifting as little as two days per week.

The only catch is you have to walk and condition with as much diligence as you lift.

Not an easy thing to do when you don’t particularly enjoy it, but do it you must, if you want to finally break free of your blubbery chrysalis and become a beautiful butterfly.

Excuse me. I mean reveal a powerful physique that looks every bit as good as it performs.

If you’d like specific advice to help you strike the right balance, get yourself booked in for a consultation.
