The two reasons why most fitness advice doesn’t work for fat men

Rewind to 2009.

I’d just set out on my quest to build a powerful physique.

I was fat, and I knew it. However, I had a big problem…

There was no useful fitness content for fat guys like me who were interested in lifting weights whatsoever!

Everything was written for either “hardgainers” – skinny guys who struggle to gain muscle – or fat wannabe powerlifters who didn’t care that they carried life-threatening amounts of adipose tissue.

I was smart enough to realise I didn’t have a problem gaining muscle. Really, this just boils down to being prepared to eat lots of food. Something I was already very good at – hence why I was fat.

So, I took the only option available at the time and went down the powerlifting rabbit hole.

Can you guess what happened next?

That’s right. I got even fatter

Sure, I built a tonne of muscle and strength, but I looked like shit. And considering I’d started training because I was sick to the back teeth of looking like shit I was, understandably, more than a little upset.

That was 2009, well over a decade ago. Yet, things have not changed one bit.

If you’re fat, there isn’t much quality material out there to help you un-fat yourself.

Why?

Two reasons:

1) Total available market. The total number of men who are intelligent and brave enough to admit they have a weight problem is small. Therefore, there’s a lot more money to be made selling to hardgainers and fat men who have deluded themselves into believing they’re hardgainers.

2) A paucity of specific expertise. Almost all of the finest minds in the fitness industry have never had a problem with their weight. Training, eating well, and so on have been part of their lives from day dot. As a result, they don’t understand the fat man’s predicament. So, they steer clear of that market for the same reasons you’ll never ever see me working with skinny guys who struggle to build muscle.

My point?

Simply this: I not only understand your predicament, but I’ve also figured out how to solve the problem once and for all.

Getting from where I was to where I am was a long, painful road riddled with silly mistakes, setbacks, and failures.

Of course, you can do what I did – figure it out for yourself. Although if you choose this path, your success is not guaranteed.

Or, you could just bite the bullet and work with me.

It’s not like you’re risking anything because if my programme doesn’t work, you get all your money back plus a homemade loaf of bread from my Mrs.

The frustration stops right now – if you want it to.
