If you’re not considering working with me right now, you can ignore this email.
Normal service will resume tomorrow, although you may still want to take a look if you’d like a peek behind the curtain at the squalid world of fitness coaching.
‘Cuz believe you me, it’s a mess.
Let’s begin.
Imagine for a moment you have a leaky tap. You’ve tried to fix it yourself, but you’ve had no luck.
So, you do the smart thing and call a plumber.
The plumber comes out, diagnoses the problem, and promises he can fix the leak.
You pay him on that basis.
If it transpires he can’t fix the leak or if it subsequently comes back, you’d be disappointed. And rightly so, seeing as he gave you his word that he could give you the outcome you wanted.
In this scenario, any plumber with a shred of integrity would hold his hands up, apologise, and either come out and do remedial works at his expense or else refund you part or all of the fee.
This doesn’t happen in the fitness industry.
It seems to me that fitness coaching is the only industry where you can promise a client a life-changing outcome, take their money, fail to deliver on your promise, and then pin the blame on them for the poor outcome.
Crazy, isn’t it?
And yet, this is the basis upon which most personal trainers and online fitness coaches operate.
I can prove it, too.
For instance, how many people who pay a fitness professional maintain their results once they’ve parted ways?
Few.
Why?
To answer that, I need to explain what the purpose of coaching actually is.
At its most fundamental level, a coach’s job is to facilitate change.
A huge part of that is to identify those who are ready for change and those who are not.
If they’re not ready, you don’t sell to them. Not if you run an ethical business, anyways.
I think it’s fair to say I go above and beyond to make sure only people who are ready to do a lot of boring, uncomfortable, repetitive work, and make substantial changes to the way they live give me money.
Because, while I can, nay promise to show you how to build a powerful physique, live a happier, healthier life, and, ultimately, become the man your family deserves, what I teach only works if you’re truly ready.
And how do you know you’re ready?
Read the letter I’ve linked below all the way through to the end, where you’ll find a neat list of bullet points that’ll leave you in no doubt which side of the fence you’re on.
