The diet article

Let me preface this by saying, I am not a diet guy.

Truly, nothing bores me more than talking about food.

Particularly as people tend to defend their chosen method with the zeal of a mediaeval crusader on a quest to retake the Holy Land, which renders such discussions moot more often than not.

Regardless, I have decided to make my views known today because people keep asking me what I think.

We begin:

My approach to diet is very simple.

So simple, in fact, many have a hard time believing it works.

I suspect a lot of this is because they don’t want it to work because you can’t blame your diet for your lacklustre results when you’re not following a diet in the conventional sense.

What do I mean?

Simply that mine is a way that uses no gimmicks, tricks, or hacks.

Heck, I don’t even count calories, track macros, or do any of the other things I’m “supposed” to do, yet here I am walking around with abs and large, shapely muscles (larger and shapelier than men who abuse steroids, in some cases) without really thinking about food at all.

I also drink most days (vodka and whiskey, mainly), eat Jess’ homemade bread with almost every meal, enjoy meals out regularly, and commit a plethora of other dietary sins of such gravity the mere thought of them is enough to leave your typical eating disordered fitness professional crying in the corner.

What is my “secret”?

Eat mostly the foods I know I’m supposed to eat, in the right quantity to fuel the activity I have done or intend to do.

This is something anyone who doesn’t need carers to get through the day can manage.

Those who claim otherwise are lying or perhaps in need of some therapy with an appropriately qualified professional to work through whatever issues they’ve got with food.

Either way, I can’t help them. Nor would I want to if I could.

Because, like I said right at the start, I am not a diet guy and talking about food bores me greatly.

And on that note, we’re done for today.

But before you go, I’d like to invite you to read the sales letter for my three month programme “Silver Era Secrets”.

It might be for you if you’d like to learn a sustainable way to get stronger and fitter. But you’ll only know for certain either way if you read the letter which you will find here:
