The best of both worlds

Compare 1000 guys who exclusively lift weights with 1000 guys who exclusively train bodyweight, and I’d stake my firstborn son on the bodyweight guys looking better on average.

Why?

It’s impossible to get good at bodyweight exercises if you’re fat and/or weak.

Not so for weights, I’m afraid. (Which is why the overwhelming majority of chaps doing battle with the iron are fat and – much of the time – weak).

Am I saying that one ought to train bodyweight exclusively?

No.

For starters, you cannot build a pair of large and shapely legs with bodyweight training alone.

Moreover, while it’s technically possible to master pullups without lifting weights, you’ll crack them far faster if you do.

Bottom line: Why do one or the other when you can do both and get the best of both worlds?

All it takes is knowing a sensible way to combine regular lifting with bodyweight training to unlock new gains in muscle and strength, such as the methods I reveal in July’s issue of “The Phil Tyreman Letter”.

The deadline cometh, and you must get in before it arrives to receive July’s issue.
