Some people just don’t want to be challenged in any way

Received a Parthian shot from a disappointed chap to tell me he was unsubscribing because, while the free bonus eBook new subscribers get was “interesting”, my methods were not for him given he is seeking a long term approach using age appropriate forms of exercise.

Guessing he didn’t read the eBook all that closely. Because if he had, he would have noticed that what I am pushing is a long term and intrinsically safe approach to getting strong(er) and (more) in shape. For instance, the document contains only 19 printed pages, yet the words “sustainable”, “safe”, and “slow” feature five, four, and eight times respectively.

Likewise my exhortations to:

* “Never, ever, ever take your sets to muscular failure” because it “drastically raises your risk of injury for comparatively little reward, so is best avoided under all circumstances if you are in this for the long term.”

And,

* “Pick a shortish (or longish) distance then run or cycle that at a pace you find comfortable”, specifically meaning, “long(ish) runs or rides should be a distance that’s a little challenging yet one you know without a shadow of a doubt you can manage, and a short(ish) run or ride is roughly half to two thirds of that.”

And,

* How training is “something to be done sober-mindedly, with discipline and intent. Never haphazardly or, Heaven forefend, out of a desire to be seen as HaRdCoRe by others.”

No. What I think has happened here is that our hero has for some reason decided to look into building some strength and muscle for the massive benefits it brings not only to longevity and looks but also quality of life.

But he’s not serious. Not remotely.

In my experience, people who dismiss my teachings out of hand as he did typically have no interest in so much as dipping their toe into something they have not tried before because they don’t want to be challenged in any way, and what they are actually looking for is someone to validate decisions they have already made about the way they train, eat, and live.

Now I am not for a moment saying he should have used my methods. For all I know, he may have received medical advice that precluded them.

But he wouldn’t have opted-in to my list in the first place if he wasn’t interested in getting stronger (‘cuz it’s obvious that’s a large part of what I’m about), and you will struggle to find a safer, more sustainable approach than the one I advocate.

Them’s my thoughts anyway.

Whatever the case.

If you are interested in learning how to write, modify, and execute safe sustainable programmes of training, irrespective of whether you are 30 or 70 (because the principles don’t change, only how they are implemented)… and… you would like to use methods that have a proven track record of delivering results long before steroids emerged onto the scene to muddy the waters, my biased opinion is that you join me for Silver Era Secrets.

It’s a three month private (i.e. one to one) personal training programme for people who are serious about putting the framework in place to continue getting results for many years (perhaps even decades) to come.

On that note, I got a voice note from a former Silver Era Secrets client the other day to tell me that he is still using and benefiting from the material over a year after we started working together.

He has even begun teaching my methods to his son and I am told he quotes from my works so often that I have become something of a celebrity in his household.

Take from that what you will.

P.S. If you have any questions about the programme, please email them to me (either directly or by replying to this one).

It’s normal to be apprehensive about a decision like this, so I want to make sure I do everything I can to alleviate those feelings. So if you email me a question no matter how simple or involved, I will answer it and I will do so personally and promptly. And if that along with the comprehensive sales page are not enough to earn your respect and trust, you should NOT purchase this or anything else that I sell.
