silly o’clock in the morning

0230.

Was the time Jess and I woke Saturday just gone.

The reason?

No idea.

Just one of those things, I guess.

Anyway.

There was no way on God’s green Earth either of us was going to get back to sleep, so Jess made us both coffee and we talked until Connie woke up at 0500 (the time we normally get up).

Funnily enough, one of the things we talked about was how waking up very early in the morning and getting a decent walk in just before breakfast (i.e. before 0700) has, without a shadow of a doubt, utterly transformed our lives for the better.

We’ve both vanquished the dreaded ‘mid-afternoon crash’, our general fitness is better (measured by how little rest we need between weightlifting sets and faster mile run and 5k times), and we find maintaining our weight is even easier than we did before.

One other unexpected benefit is that I no longer suffer from back pain.

I’m not entirely sure why this is, given I was already walking before only now I do it at silly o’clock in the morning, but I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

None of this is to say you should go walking before the sun comes up.

The streets are hardly safe in many parts of the country nowadays for reasons that are potentially criminal to notice.

I suppose I’m just fortunate to live where I do which enables me to avail myself of the energy boosting, cardio augmenting, fat melting, and, surprisingly, back protecting fruits of these early morning escapades.

Speaking of protecting your back, something else that will certainly help in this regard is giving your back some special care and attention in your training; perhaps using the suite of methods I share in the first half of my inventively titled “Back and Legs Bundle” which is available to pre-order for a hefty discount until Thursday the 22nd of August at 23:59.

This is actually the second edition of this collection, and comes with a bunch of extra material – including an article written by Jess –  that hugely enhances the experience.

Enter the code NACHO at the checkout to claim the pre-order discount.

But first, read the below sales page carefully to make sure it’s for you:

Thank you,

Phil Tyreman

P.S. If you already own the Bundle, I am going to mail you a copy of this new version free of charge as there’s so much more in it now it’d be highly unfair of me to do otherwise.
