Poor parenting destroyed by facts and logic

Once upon a time, Yours Baldly was a Very Fat Child.

Life was not fun.

Feeling utterly ashamed of how I looked, suffering as my lungs burned from running the shortest distances.

Not to mention the extreme bullying.

Certainly not something I’d want for my kiddos.

Although it seems mine is an increasingly fringe view, if the data is any indication.

According to the Health Survey for England 2021:

“10.1% of reception age children (age 4-5) were obese in 2021/22, with a further 12.1% were overweight. At age 10-11 (year 6), 23.4% were obese and 14.3% overweight”.

Scary, isn’t it?

Or maybe you don’t care (probably the case, if your child is one of those statistics).

Perhaps you believe obesity is always someone else’s fault and therefore someone else’s job to fix. You could even be one of those nutters who thinks that being fat carries no negative consequences whatsoever, and anyone who disagrees is some sort of fascist.

I hope this is not the case but my eyes and ears tell me you’re far more likely to be in one of those camps than you are to recognise that your kiddo’s health is not only your responsibility but they’re in a spot of bother because they’ve mimicked YOUR bad habits.

If the latter applies, I suspect you’d like to do something about it.

In that case, first understand that your kid(s) idolise you so the best way to help them with their health problem (and obesity is a health problem) is to lead by example.

Then become that example.

How you do that is entirely your decision. There are bountiful options out there and none is inherently superior to the others from a moral perspective – provided you attack your choice with discipline and intent.

That said, in terms of pure efficiency and effectiveness, you cannot beat learning how to build muscle and strength without the aid of steroids or other performance enhancing drugs, in my opinion.

(This applies whether you’re on the portly side, very skinny, or anywhere in between).

Appropriately, I will teach you how and provide all the support, advice, encouragement, and cajoling you could possibly need to put what you learn into action in my three-month programme “Silver Era Secrets”.

Below is linked an informative and entertaining letter that tells you all about it:
