Mocked by street urchins and assorted human deadwood

I quite often get mocked by everyone from street urchins to chavs driving “modded” bangers when I’m out for a run.

Can’t blame them, really.

I’ve mentioned before how I plod along like an endangered rhinoceros because running is really Not My Thing.

Once upon a time, this used to bother me a lot. So much, in fact, that my fear of abusive jibes from the peasantry put me off of running all together.

Which is kinda silly when you think about it.

No matter.

I cannot say it’s a cause for distress any longer, although I’m not going to sit here and pretend that this was an easy transition.

For example, back when the government demanded we all hide under our beds lest we catch a cold, I was waiting at a pelican crossing, gasping for breath when a piece of human deadwood lobbed a sweet into my gaping mouth from his car window.

The shock of it all sent me running home in tears (I’m not exaggerating for effect – the incident actually made me cry).

Probably the fastest mile run time I’ve ever done though, so it wasn’t all bad.

And the point?

Only that even those of us who have been training week in, week out for over a decade and have built great bodies as a result get anxious about exercising in public from time to time; and that there’s really no reason for it (because you’re just letting the idiots win).

That said, I will concede having a great body does wonders for one’s self esteem, which makes pretty much anything that involves interacting with other people or being seen in public much easier.

Enter my most problematic book “The Weight Loss Manifesto”.

It mansplains the three phase process I used to go from obeast to human way back in 2009 and the first two-thirds of 2010 when I first started training properly.

At just £15, this book is much cheaper than my other books because I believe the information within is so important that I don’t want “price” to be a barrier to entry.

All the info is linked below.

Read it carefully and place an order if you are satisfied the book will help you:
