Irrational fear of the gains goblins

I have a confession to make.

No, I haven’t cheated on Jess or started an OnlyFanz. Sorry to disappoint.

However.

I’m not at all proud of what I’m about to share with you and, I suspect, you are probably guilty of exactly the sin I am about to describe.

Onward.

Until comparatively recently, I didn’t take cardiovascular training very seriously at all.

Actually, it’d be more accurate to say that I didn’t do any.

Why?

Like a lot of guys who pick lifting as their primary form of exercise, I believed it was unnecessary at best and, at worst, would gobble up my gains like a fattie gobbles oversized plates of mostly brown food.

At least, that’s what I thought I believed.

‘Cuz that was just cope.

The truth?

I didn’t do cardio because I knew I was rubbish at it and was deeply embarrassed by the thought of being unable to run a couple of miles at a good clip.

Once I realised this, I stopped being a pansy and started running.

Very slowly at first. Short distances, too (not more than one mile at a time).

A humbling experience, for sure – but a necessary one, considering doing regular steady state cardio is essential if you are to enjoy a long, healthy life.

It wasn’t too long before I hit my “goal” of being able to run five kilometres or so at an OK pace whenever I like, either. Something that makes me a bit cross when I stop and think about it, considering how much further along I’d be if I just bit the bullet and started running years ago.

Whatever.

I made my bed so I shall lie in it.

Now for the highly relevant pitch:

I have decided to make my prestigious report “The Running Starter Kit” available for sale.

The purpose of this short (8 A4 pages) document is to take you from not running at all to running respectable distances a few times per week with little fuss or hassle.

I’ve decided the material inside is so important I want as many people as possible to get their hands on it.

Appropriately, the “The Running Starter Kit” is highly affordable at £6.50.

A sum anyone can afford if they have the problem it solves and genuinely want to do something about it.

Two important points to note before proceeding:

1) I am printing the reports to order on my personal printer using regular printer paper. An attractive document this is not, so please don’t buy it if you’re more concerned with how it looks than what it contains.

2) There are no refunds or guarantees beyond the 14 days on receipt of goods I’m obliged to give to comply with consumer protection legislation.

If that hasn’t put you off, more info and order below:

Thank you,

Phil Tyreman

P.S. Do not purchase “The Running Starter Kit” if you own either “The Conditioning Codex” or March’s issue of “The Phil Tyreman Letter” (where it was given as a bonus) because you’ll be paying for the same information twice.
