Few things sadden me quite like the state of the local parks.
And by “state” I mean the absence of children, especially during the school holidays.
If this sounds like I am a broken record, it’s because I am. It’s a serious problem, and I’m going to keep talking about it no matter how many jealous Karens insinuate that I am some sort of PDF-File to get me to shut up because my noticing makes them feel bad about exposing their kids to actual PDF-Files by giving them unsupervised access to a smartphone in lieu of fulfilling their parental duties.
Moving on.
Believe it or not, I feel for the parents almost as much as I do the kids.
I can’t imagine having to tell Connie “no” when she asked to climb to the top of the spider web climbing frame because I wasn’t strong and nimble enough to keep her safe by going up with her to keep her safe. Likewise, missing out on her shrieks of delight as we hurtled down the aerial runway because I was too fat to join in.
Such is how it is for many, and everyone is poorer for it.
What’s more, it doesn’t take a whole lot of training to get to the point you can do all of that (and then some). Literally between two and four lifting sessions and two or three cardio sessions (none of which take more than 45 minutes) will suffice.
The catch?
You gotta set your programme up right otherwise you won’t get much for your efforts. I won’t go so far as to say you’ll be totally wasting your time because doing “something”, even if suboptimal, is objectively better than doing nothing at all.
Speaking of proper programming, I’m presently recruiting for the next round of my muscle building course.
This is a private (1-1) affair wherein I will personally guide you through a four phase process that, all being well, in six months’ time will result in you being stronger and more in shape than you are right now.
Better:
The system is set up in such a way that you can run it repeatedly, meaning you will have all you need to continue getting results long after we have parted ways.
