Here are four ways to progress in your training without slapping more weight on the bar:
1) Increase volume. This covers both the total amount of work you do in a given session and the total number of repetitions you complete of specific exercises.
2) Increase proficiency. By this I mean the quality of your form.
3) Increase frequency. The number of sessions, how often you perform targeted lifts, or both.
4) Increase density. That is the amount of work you perform within a defined period of time.
Any one of these will unlock new gains in muscularity and strength.
They certainly beat pigheadedly trying to add weight when your body has no more to give in this regard.
The catch?
You have to execute correctly, which is why you’d do well to seek the advice and support of an appropriately qualified professional such as Yours Baldly.
Other options are available.
Although I believe I am the best, but, to be fair, I am hopelessly biased.
If you are curious, below is a link to the sales page for my three month programme that teaches you how to write efficient, effective, sustainable training routines and provides the bountiful personal support you need to put it into action.
Please read the whole page before you make a decision.
If you don’t want to read it because it’s “too long” or you don’t like my writing style, don’t purchase because you won’t get anything out of it.
