“Bodybuilders aren’t strong”

Is a pernicious belief that has been doing the rounds for donkey’s years.

Nowadays it’s predominantly popular among social media-dwelling strength training enthusiasts who would be much stronger and less fat if they invested a fraction of the energy they waste arguing about training into… you know… actually training.

Anyway.

The best lies are those built upon a kernel of truth and, in this instance, the truth is some bodybuilders aren’t strong – when compared to elite powerlifters, throwers, weightlifters, wrestlers, and so on.

Some can certainly give those groups a run for their money.

Some even dominate in proper sports (such as Stan Efferding, who held the world record in the squat without knee wraps and total without knee wraps in the 275-pound class).

That said, in aggregate, bodybuilders are weaker than strength athletes.

Not a shocking revelation to anyone with two brain cells to rub together, given mainstream bodybuilding pageants do not include a test of strength. And yet, there still exist legions of pudgy keyboard warriors tapping away with their wotsit stained fingers “owning” bodybuilders by judging them against irrelevant criteria.

The significance of all of this to you?

Much.

There is plenty for the man (or woman) who wants to be strong and in shape to gain by using methods favoured by bodybuilders – even if they would rather remove their eyeballs with a rusty spoon than look anything close to a bodybuilder.

Off the top of my bald head…

* Lower risk of injury,

* A more aesthetically pleasing build,

* Greater enjoyment of your sessions (through variety),

* A larger training toolbox to draw from when you are tired, busy, stressed, etc.

The key is knowing which bodybuilding methods to learn and integrate into your training.

Hint: It ain’t the modern ones.

Appropriately, my three month programme “Silver Era Secrets” teaches you the old-fashioned way to train, using an approach favoured by many of the great figures of the Silver Era of bodybuilding (hence the name).

Right now, it’s £360.

However, the price rises significantly after Wednesday the 8th of January at 23:59.

So if you want in at the current price, hasten to the below page before the deadline to learn more:
