A training blackpill

Here is something rarely talked about by people in the fitness industry:

You’re still going to struggle with pain, fatigue, and so on even when you’re doing everything right.

Things will probably be “less bad” than it’d be if you didn’t train at all, but to believe training, eating, and living well is the key to a life of skipping through Elysian Fields is fantasy of the highest order.

Why the blackpill?

I suspect these persistent niggles are the root of otherwise right thinking people finding themselves on a quest for The One Thing that will make all of their troubles vanish once and for all.

Yet no matter whether they try a special diet, obscure supplement(s), or precise training regime, the result is always the same:

Their troubles persist, prompting them to pursue the next thing, and the next, and the next.

Moreover, the longer this goes on, the more their attention drifts from the stuff that actually moves the needle:

1) Lifting two or three days per week, using balanced workouts built around fundamental movement patterns,

2) Doing some form of “hard” cardio (hard is in air quotes because it is a relative term in this context),

3) Walking every day without fail,

4) Eating mostly what they know they ought to eat in sensible quantities.

It’s for this reason I won’t ever promise to totally alleviate your suffering.

I will, however, teach you sustainable methods for getting strong and in shape which, when applied consistently over a great many months and years, will likely improve your quality of life.

If that is something you are interested in, carefully read the below-linked page that explains my coaching offer in some considerable detail:
