Consider the following hypothetical scenario:
Scientists have created a “safe and effective” pill anyone can take that will make anyone who takes it strong and in shape within 12 weeks, without any need to exercise or make any changes to their diet whatsoever.
The pill works as advertised (unlike a certain other intervention I cannot mention lest I end up on another list). Surprising nobody, it is the most successful product ever created, enriching the executives greatly and enabling them to retire to their own private islands.
Now the key question:
Would you take it?
How you answer reveals whether or not you stand any chance of ever achieving your training goals in our world where this magic pill does not exist.
It also reveals much about you as a person – your morals, values, and how willing you are to compromise them in the pursuit of your desires.
Yes, I am going there.
If you think yourself hardworking, yet would take the “easy option” to success and, in so doing, circumvent all the hard work, are you actually a genuinely hardworking person?
Or is your discipline and drive conditional upon whether you stand to gain from your endeavours?
I would posit that the latter applies to everyone who would take the magic exercise pill.
And, consequently, I know with abject certainty that all of those people will never in a million years reach their potential on the fitness front.
Why?
Once you are out of the “beginner” phase of training, gains are painfully slow to come by (unless you cheat by pumping your body full of gear or lie to your doctor to get a prescription for TRT).
You can potentially go years without any real progress of note.
This means slogging away week in, week out, month in, month out, year in, year out just to hold onto what you’ve hitherto achieved and often feeling like you’re going backwards.
Something you will only do if you are engaged in training because you see it as morally The Right Thing To Do.
If that is you and you have found yourself stuck in somewhat of a rut and would like me to come along with my (imaginary) manly and very environmentally un-friendly truck to winch you out, make haste to the below sales page for my three-month programme.
Please read the whole thing carefully, so your decision is an informed one:
