Is that it doesn’t involve hard work.
Not so.
It simply means you avoid things that skew the Risk:Reward ratio too heavily in favour of the former.
Things like taking sets to muscular failure.
Yes, I am aware that I am spouting heresy.
Nevertheless, there is very little point in pushing sets to the point that you cannot complete another rep.
There are exceptions (there are always exceptions), but what I have just said stands for the overwhelming majority of folk who want to get strong and in shape.
Why?
Simply that the value of a high number of high quality reps accumulated without interruption over many years far exceeds what you’ll glean from fits and spurts of “hardcore” training.
