Odd hobby of mine is poking around people’s funnels.
(Marketing funnels, not whatever else you were thinking).
Like recently, when I stumbled across this company who were selling some “how to be an online personal trainer” course.
Short story long, I was (still am, actually) looking for someone to help me with my Facebook and Instagram advertising because computers and I do not get along. It looked to me like that was a large part of what they were selling, so into the funnel I dove.
What followed were a bunch of emails written to stick the knife in then offer to take that pain away in exchange for a thick wad of cash (not throwing shade, it’s literally what I do to you most days).
So I booked a call and had an… interesting conversation with the rep.
Remember: I was only looking for help with setting up my ads (called “media buying”) because my method of coaching clients via a combination of printed matter (books and newsletters) and regular ol’ email, hokey as it is, works exceedingly well.
Mr HustleBro disagreed.
Bless him, he couldn’t wrap his head around the idea that there are people out there who don’t want Yet Another app on their smartphone nor share their personal struggles with exercise, diet, etc on a video call with a group of random strangers… and… get this… are patient enough to wait for information to come through the mail!
Truly, from his tone, you’d think I’d just told him I was in the business of flaying kittens.
Anyway.
Fellow started to get a little aggy with me, so I figured I’d have some fun by asking to see a copy of their Terms and Conditions before I made my decision.
(Legitimate operators will happily hand them over, not that you’ll need to ask as they’ll also be clearly visible on the sales page and/or shopping cart – i.e. not tucked away in the footer in print so small you need the Hubble space telescope to see it or absent altogether).
He said he would email them to me right after we were done talking.
That was six months ago, and I am still waiting for his email.
What’s my point?
There isn’t one.
But you’ll certainly be left with no confusion about what you’re getting and what I expect from you after checking out my stuff.
Like at the below URL where you can book a free, private Diagnostic Call with me personally for example (scroll down for the deets and calendar).
There’s also a free copy of the fourth edition of a (short) eBook of mine for you to claim if you would like it.
