Part and parcel of growing up is building a life that cannot revolve around the gym.
I am sure there are men (and a few women) who would violently disagree with me on this. But I cannot take them seriously given that they must be trapped in a state of perpetual adolescence to live the way they do.
Consider:
Is it possible to lift weights four, five, or even six days per week (sometimes twice in a single day) when you have a demanding job or run a business?
Can you engage in a similar amount of intense cardiovascular exercise (on top of lifting) while fulfilling your obligations to your family that may include children?
Not if you live in The Real World where sane and sensible people are based.
However.
You absolutely can train like that…
… for a little while.
But, alas, sure as the sun rises in the East and sets in the West, you will soon burn out, probably pick up an injury or three, and fall off the wagon losing all the progress you’ve worked so hard to make.
The fix?
Create a sustainable “baseline” programme you can follow even when busy, tired, and/or stressed.
Such a programme won’t produce results as quickly as the more “hardcore” approach favoured by people with the personality of a dumbbell, but it’s far more likely to produce better results in the long term.
Why?
‘Cuz it’ll allow you to train consistently, for a long time, without unplanned breaks.
And that is the key to getting an enviable body with performance to match.
Not an Earth-shattering revelation, I concede. But my eyes tell me it’s one of those things everyone knows but few put into action.
Appropriately, I shall teach you how to write such a programme during my cleverly titled, 90-minute, live, online seminar:
“How to Write a Training Programme”
A ticket is £60.
The talk is at 1900 on Wednesday the 16th of October.
This is for UK residents only.
To make sure I don’t fall foul of the international taxmen, I am going to ask for your address at the checkout.
Any purchases from outside of the UK will be immediately refunded and the offender blacklisted for failing to comply with very simple instructions.
I may or may not run this event again, and it will not be recorded.
