S-Tier BroScience

Behold some S-Tier BroScience:

The body only tolerates a certain amount of asymmetry and, once this threshold is met, further gains in muscle size and strength are profoundly difficult, if not impossible.

I am sure some smart alec will cite arm wrestlers or simps who diddle their dominant palms hairy as examples of where this “rule” doesn’t apply.

And I certainly don’t have any hard data or studies to “prove” that this is true.

But a decade and a half of lifting weights in the gym week in, week out (planned breaks aside), observing others, and *gasp* actually thinking about what is causing the various phenomena I see leads me to believe mine is the right conclusion, in most cases, even if I’m not sure of the exact biological mechanisms driving it.

Consider:

It’s not too uncommon to see guys hoiking respectable weight in the bench press.

Yet, if you watch them over a period of months or years, you’ll notice that respectable weight seldom gets any heavier.

Odd, given they train the bench and other chest movements with tremendous frequency and intensity.

Talk to them (or stealthily listen in on their conversations like a KGB agent), and you will hear them complaining about how they can’t get their bench to move upwards, and, when they try, they are immediately rewarded with an injury of some description.

Then, watch how they train their backs.

At best, you will see some shoddy rows (which they can only perform trussed up like piglets with belts, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, and straps) and a brief flirtation with the lat-pulldown machine.

Never will you ever see them hit exercises like dumbbell rows (done with decent weight, stellar form, and a good number or reps, without straps) or so much as a single pullup.

Their backs are narrow and thin as a result; so asymmetrical with their muscly bewbies that their bodies simply refuse to let them bench more weight (or add more muscle to their chests).

If only they applied the back training methodologies outlined in “The Back and Legs Bundle”.

Then, maybe, they would reach their bench pressing potential and finally develop the impressive chest that was one of, if not the, driver for them starting training in the first place.

If you are interested in pursuing the same, then you must get a wriggle on because “The Back and Legs Bundle” is only available to pre-order for a deep discount until 23:59 tonight (22/08).
