“That geeza on your post is talking as if 99% of people over 50 experience massive drops in quality of life, so TRT is the only option. That’s the line of thinking.
In the majority of cases though, have these men explored all other options? Optimising sleep, improving diet, actually getting off their arse and going for a jog.
I very, very much doubt it…”

He is 100% right.
Some context:
The post he is referring to is one wherein I pointed out that there’s nothing “natural” about a man in his 40s or 50s walking around with the testosterone levels of a 20 year old.
I then went on to say that to abuse TRT for aesthetic purposes is to indulge in the male equivalent of a face lift, bewb job, and lip fillers.
It did not go down very well with middle-aged men who prefer the needle to doing the difficult and uncomfortable work of sorting out their training, diet, and lifestyle.
Plus having the humility to accept their limitations arising from previous poor choices.
More context:
I will never be a champion powerlifter, nor run a marathon in a decent time, nor get anywhere near bodybuilding stage condition because I was a fat slob who did no exercise as a teen.
My terrible decisions have had a severe and enduring impact on my ability to get and stay in shape.
I could take drugs to raise my “athletic potential”, except I’m not insecure, so I bear the burdens of my consequences – modest as they are – with dignity.
Not many are willing or able to do any of that, of course.
But those who do tend to enjoy reliable, consistent, and sustainable gains in muscle and strength.
Speaking of which:
I have a robust, flexible system for building muscle and strength you can use to slap a bunch of muscle on ye olde frame and plates on the bar without partaking of the naughty juice.
(Although I cannot guarantee others won’t accuse you of taking gear, given the gains in size and strength you could see if you properly apply what I teach you).
Moreover, you probably won’t put on much fat provided you don’t eat like a pig. (You may even lose some, depending on how long you’ve been training and a few other factors).
