Here are 17 great reasons to do regular hard cardio.
If it’s not already part of your routine (as is often the case for guys who lift), you’d do well to start.
And if you are doing regular hard cardio, consider this list a reaffirmation of your very wise decision.
We begin:
1. Your weights workouts will be much shorter as you’ll need less rest between sets.
2. If you have kids, you’ll find keeping up with them child’s play (pun intended).
3. If you have a wife, partner, and/or girlfriend she will probably want more snu-snu with you.
4. If you want a wife, partner, and/or girlfriend, your chances of landing one will be vastly improved.
5. You will mitigate your risk of developing serious yet preventable health conditions like heart disease, stroke, and certain types of cancer.
6. You will enjoy consistent energy levels throughout the day (no more mid-afternoon crashes)
7. You will almost certainly get leaner if you pay a modicum of attention to your diet.
8. You are less likely to be bankrupted by medical bills when the NHS inevitably collapses.
9. You will feel powerful walking into a room knowing you’re in better shape than everyone else.
10. Your walking pace will improve, which means less time doing boring things like grocery shopping.
11. You will cultivate discipline that will serve you well in all aspects of life.
12. You will develop pain tolerance that will make you tougher and more useful in general.
13. Your lifts *may* go up slightly.
14. Your clothes will fit better (because you’ll probably lose some weight).
15. You’ll get to hear the birds chirping and see the sun shining.
16. You may feel less stiff and sore from sitting in a chair all day (applies mainly to people who have desk jobs).
17. You will experience the satisfaction of knowing you do something most do not – even counting people who go to the gym regularly.
Them’s my 17 great reasons.
Appropriately, I have a book about hard cardio to sell you today.
It’s called The Conditioning Codex and it’s for men who hate cardio but have accepted (perhaps reluctantly) doing it is necessary for them to be the strong, lean, and most of all, healthy man their family deserves.
It’s currently in pre-order, with a hefty 50% discount for those who purchase before the deadline at midnight on Friday 23/02.
It’s still very expensive, even with the discount. So only pre-order if you intend to put the material into action, otherwise you’re just wasting your money.
